The Geelong Concert Band

This Friday is the final rehearsal for all three bands for term 3. There will then be a two week break for the Youth and Workshop Bands who will return to rehearsals on Friday October 9th at the normal times. The Senior band will however return on Friday October 2nd from 7-9:30pm in preparation for Concert of the Decade which will be staged on Saturday October 3rd at Costa Hall – performance and report times will be given out at rehearsal on Friday October 2nd. Tickets for Concert of the Decade can be purchased from the CoGG – only catch is that you must be over 50 years of age to attend as it is the opening concert of Seniors Week 2009.

The GCB Senior Band will perform a concert with the Grainger Wind Symph on Saturday September 12th 2009. This concert will be held at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar, Rachelle Road, East Keilor starting at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door – Adults $15 Concession $10. Come along and support both of these outstanding bands.

Congratulations to all of the members of the GCB who performed at last weekends Annual Costa Hall Concert. The concert was very successful with all bands playing extremely well. A big thank-you to our special guests Tim McCallum, Reyna and Chris Hudgell for their amazing ability to perform and entertain the audiance.
